Flower Nails

31 Day Challenge: Flower Nails

Tonight I did some flower nails. Not much to say about them...they are flowered. Pretty simple design, not head over heels in love with them, but I think they're cute. I wont be super sad to take them off like the animal print ones. I removed those today and was sad because they somehow still hadn't chipped and still looked great! But I needed to update this, so I moved on.
I was afraid though that the second I started doing them the power would go out from "Sandy." But all is good, we still have power, it's just super windy and rainy.

I used:
  • Essie: Sand Tropez
  • Essie: I Am Strong
  • Essie: Haute As Hello
  • OPI: Do You Lilac It?

Animal Print Nails!

31 Day Challenge: Animal Print Nails

I was having a tough time deciding on which animal print to do on this one...I really wanted to do leopard because I've never done a leopard mani on my own hands...only my toes and other peoples hands. But then I had this cute little stuffed giraffe that I wanted to hold in the photos...such problems, hahaha. So I ended up deciding to go all jungle fever and do a different print on each nail. I actually really love the way it came out. I look like a safari!  Rawr!

Striped Nails!

31 Day Challenge: Striped Nails

So my plan for striped nails was to do the stripes on my Kate Spade iPhone case that I love so much. I had been wanting to do it for a while now. However I think the pattern works better on my phone. I think since you can't see all of the stripes at the same time from every angle it doesn't really have the same effect. Plus apparently I'm not that great at stripes yet, I think these are kind of messy. I'm already ready to take them off. I should at least keep them for a full day though...we'll see!

I used:

Hellogiggles

So today a friend of mine while bored in class found my nails on Instagram via Hellogiggles from when they used my photo as their "nails of the day." I don't know why I didn't realize Hellogiggles had an Instagram account because I go on their site roughly everyday. I can't believe that I got 11,224 likes on it! Holy crap! Too bad it's from June so no one would really notice any of my responses...oh well, just thought I would share that with you guys because I was excited!

Polka Dot Nails!

31 Day Challenge: Polka Dot Nails

So I'm not gonna lie, I didn't do these today. I did them a week and a half ago to match my outfit for my cousins wedding and figured I would use them for this day! Not that I'm following the everyday thing anyways, hahaha.
Also, I took these photos the day after because I didn't do them at home, so they're not fresh (what is that spec on my middle finger??) and had been slept on...womp womp. I love these colors though, and why are my fingers so red?!? Probably from running around trying to get ready actually...
I wish I had a good full body shot of my outfit I could show you...but I don't. Maybe if one pops up later I'll add it in.

I used:
  • Essie: Haute as Hello
  • Essie: Sand Tropez
  • OPI: My Boyfriend Scales Walls
  • OPI: Matte Top Coat

Gradient Nails!

31 Day Challenge: Gradient Nails

Tonight I have gradient nails for you! I'm really loving these! I've done gradient nails a few times before so I decided I wanted to spice 'em up a little with an accent nail today. I bought some new Martha Stewart chunky hexagonal glitter, so I made a gradient with three of those colors to match my polish. Of course it doesn't looks quite as much like a disco ball in photographs as it does in real life, but I love it. I only wish I had lined them up a little more perfectly like a honey comb but I swear my eyes were playing tricks on me. I don't know if it was the light or what but I couldn't see straight anymore and just stuck em on there.

I used:
  • Essie: I Am Strong
  • OPI: Dim Sum Plum
  • OPI: Purple With A Purpose
Martha Stewart Glitter:
  • Kunzite
  • Tourmaline
  • Charoite

Rainbow Nails!

31 Day Challenge Rainbow Nails!

I have been looking forward to this post since the beginning because I already knew what I wanted to do, and I mean, c'mon, who doesn't love rainbows? Perfect timing too because apparently tomorrow is National Coming Out Day...cool! Who knew?
I used my dotting tool and did sort of the fish scale technique, but more random.
Sorry this one is kind of picture heavy, like I said, I love rainbows and I liked pretty much all the photos I took of them.

Since I used so many colors I figured I might as well photograph them too!

I'm obsessed with Essie's Good as Gold lately, so I had to use it for Metallic nails! I wish I had not been so lazy and done the rest of my nails gold with a blue burst...but I didn't. I was likely exhausted. O well, I still kind of like them, hahaha.
