Clowning Around!!

Guys...I bought my first Indie! It is so amazing, I've seen a few blog posts of it and I decided it was just too unique and I had to get it. I bought "Clowning Around" by Lush Lacquer! They're a Mother/Daughter Duo who make their own polishes and sell them on Etsy.

If you've never seen "Clowning Around", it's a neon glitter. It's amazing. It almost looks like splatter nails from afar. I did three coats of glitter here over white to really show the neon. It's so summery and fun!!

I used:
  • Zoya: Purity
  • Lush Lacquer

Nude To Pink Gradient Nails!

Hey there, quick post today. Simple gradient mani. I hoped it would look a little more neon than it does. It does in some light, but definitely not so much in the photos. I'm gonna have to try it with my neon yellow this summer! Not much else to say about this one...done with a makeup sponge.

Oh, I also got some nail mail today! My first indie polish!! Can't wait to try it out tonight, but I'm going to keep it a secret for my next post! Heeheehee.

Nude & Blue Ombre Nails!

Hey guys! I'm so excited! Turns out I've been featured on The Crumpet's blog! I was one of her options for her "Blogger of The Month!" I definitely gained a few more followers because of that, so thank you!!

I have a simple but kind of funky mani for you today. I actually really love it, even though it had a few flaws, I had to re-do some a few times because I was apparently extra-klutzy that day. Also the striping tape a used left a strange yellowy color only on my ring finger nail...figures.

I also have a fun mani I did on my cousin's tiny nub nails to match the dress she was wearing to a graduation party. I did it very quick and loose and I absolutely love it.

First are my nude nails with blue ombre diagonal tips

I used:
  • OPI: My Vampire Is Buff
  • Essie: Mint Candy Apple
  • Essie: Where's My Chauffeur?

I also did my cousin's nails to match this dress:

Turquoise & Chevron Nails

Hey guys! Sorry for the absence, it's been a super busy week for me. I've had zero time to post, never mind actually even do my nails. Hopefully I'll gain a little more time, especially since most of my show's finales have aired, I think the only show I watch that is still going right now is "Modern Family."

Anyways, this mani I did before my Gatsby nails, but those obviously needed to be posted first. By the way, I thought the movie was perfection. I thought it barely differed from the book and was visually stunning. Plus I loveeee the soundtrack. But I know some people are critical of it...

Oh right, this mani...I loved this mani! I did it to match an outfit I wore out for my friend's birthday. I also love black & white with a splash of color! The chevron nails were done with tape cut with pinking sheers.

I used:
  • OPI: Oy-Another Polish Joke!
  • OPI: Goldeneye
  • OPI: On Her Majesty's Secret Service
  • Zoya: Purity

Gatsby Inspired Nails!!

Guys. Have I told you how excited I am for The Great Gatsby?!?? Well I AM SO EXCITED. It looks flawless and I love that book. It was one of the only books I actually read in highschool, and one of the only ones I actually liked, hahaha.

Oh yea, and Baz Luhrmann, and Leo, and Tobey and Carey and Isla. I've been listening to the soundtrack since I bought it on Tuesday and I'm so obsessed with it and it's just making me more excited! EEHHHH!
Ok I'm done. Anyways, I had to do some Gatsby inspired nails for the occasion. They're basically just 20's Art Deco-esque gold accented nails. Some gold and glitz and of course a spec of green. I've seen some really cool art deco nails that would have been perfect but I didn't want to copy anyone and I hate working with striping tape. However I'm completely impressed with myself for getting my pinky pretty perfect!

Do they look like Gatsby Nails to you??

Pastel Purple Stripes

Hey there! I have some quick pastel nails to post! I actually was inspired by a purple ruffled ombre tank top I have. This isn't ombre but only because I felt like some of the shades would be too similar. And my tank only has 3 colors. I went with five. Just some diagonal pastel purple stripes. Loving it for Spring!

I used:
  • Essie: Under Where?
  • Essie: Bond With Whomever
  • Essie: Play Date
  • OPI: Do You Lilac It?

Spring Floral Mani

Hiiii! It's so nice out right now!! It's finally feeling like Spring now and it finally feels right doing some Spring manis! I've been wanting to do some so badly but it was just so cold.

So for this mani, I used the Essie "Resort Collection" as well as a few other colors. I got the mini set because my store didn't have all 4 in full sized bottles. :(  Probably for the best though, like I need any more polish...they just look silly on my polish rack. But they are super cute! Anyways, I did a floral & stripe design and was pretty impressed with myself. My first time trying roses and I love them!
