Blue Ombre Striped Nails & Born Pretty Store Review!

Heeeyyyyy

I have a Born Pretty Store Review for you today! Yay! I got three striping brushes! I pretty much ruined the ones that I had and needed some serious striping brush practice. So I did some simple blue ombre horizontal stripes. They remind me of the beach.

The brushes worked really well. My lines aren't perfect but that is definitely my lack of practice. I'll likely be trying many more striped manis. This set of three brushes only cost $2.29 and they have FREE SHIPPING!! Plus if you use my coupon code: XCL91, you get 10% OFF!

I used:
  • OPI: Don't Burst My Bubble
  • OPI: Fly
  • OPI: Can't Find My Czechbook
  • Essie: Go Overboard
  • Essie: Where's My Chauffeur?

Tie Dye Nails!

Hi guys! I'm so excited to share this mani with you! It was my first time ever trying Tie Dye nails and I was scared it wasn't going to work. Not only did it work, but I think they came out pretty awesome! I was pretty amazed at the result. It was also really easy.

First I painted my nails white, so it would show through rather than naked nail like a tie dye t-shirt would. Then once it dried, I quickly globbed on each color next to each other and then dragged a striping brush through it! Top coat and done! BAM! For my thumb I tried to make it start in the middle, looks a little funny.

I used:

  • Essie: Fear Or Desire
  • Illamasqua: Rare
  • OPI: Can't Find My Czechbook
  • OPI: Purple With A Purpose

Ikat Nails!

Hey everyone!

I'm back from Maine! Had an awesome time in one of my favorite places! I did injure a nail while there though! Luckily it's my right hand so I won't have to photograph it. I was hiking down a mountain and slipped, and my camera was in my thin backpack and smashed my middle finger. Now I have a big blue bruise under my nail. :(  Luckily you can't really tell when it's polished. Plus I'd much rather bruise my finger than break my camera.

Anyways, this is a mani I did before I went to Maine. It was my first attempt at an Ikat mani and I love it!! I used pretty much the same color scheme as my last mani because I'm loving these colors together. Next mani is 100% different though, I promise & can't wait to share it!

What do you think?

Studded Pastel Nails!

Heeeeeeyyyyyy

I have some cute nails today, a pastel studded design. The wavy stripes were supposed to be chevrons, but for some reason none of them came out crisp. Must have been the purple polish because I've never had a problem with taping chevrons before. So weird, I still do like the way they came out though. Added some gold Born Pretty Store studs in a zig zag pattern too. What do you think?

P.S. I'm leaving for Maine tomorrow for a whole week so I won't be posting! I think this post was past a week though anyways, haha, oops!
