Nightmare Before Christmas Nails!

Happy Almost Halloween!!

I have another Halloween themed mani for you. Or Christmas, whichever way you view the movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Haha, I prefer it as a Halloween movie, too creepy for Christmas.

I've always wanted to do a Jack Skellington mani because it is such an amazing movie. The fact that the whole movie is Stop Motion animation is so amazing to me. According to Wikipedia "In total there were 109,440 frames taken for the movie."
Like, wow. Seriously.

Ok ok, anyways. I did Jack on my middle finger, the iconic swirly mountain thing on my ring finger, which I was afraid I was going to ruin by trying to add Jack & Sally, so I let it be. (random Beatles reference) My pinkie I put black jelly glitter filled polish over orange thinking it would come through better, but whateverrr. Doesn't look weird in person. Did black & white stripes on my index finger like Jack's suit, and Zero on my thumb! I love Zero, he's my favorite. So adorable! Eeeeeeeh! I made his eye a little big, whoops! Just makes him cuter!

I used:
  • OPI: Black Onyx
  • OPI: My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours
  • OPI: Metallic 4 Life
  • OPI: Alpine Snow
  • OPI: On Her Majesty's Secret Service
  • OPI: French Quarter For Your Thoughts

Candy Corn Nails!

Hi everyone!

I have my first Halloween mani to share with you today. It's pretty typical, but I love it anyways. I did some Candy Corn Nails. I know everyone does them, but candy corn is one of my most favorite things about Halloween. Soooo yummy! It also gave me a reason to buy a bag of candy corn and eat the whole thing...

I used:
  • Essie: Fear or Desire
  • OPI: Need Sunglasses?
  • Zoya: Purity
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat

Peacock Nails!

How is everyone? I'm lovely, thanks. Hahaha, anyways, I have some Peacock nails! Why? Why not?!? Peacocks are pretttttyyyy!

My intention was to use a fake Peacock feather on my nail, but it was kind of thick and wasn't really working out so well. So I had painted a Peacock feather on my ring finger nail, used some stamps and glequins on the rest in Peacock-esque colors.

I wasn't in love with the stamping on the pinky, so I filled it in with a thin brush and I love the way it ended up coming out!

I used:
  • OPI: Just Spotted The Lizard
  • OPI: Suzi Loves Cowboys
  • OPI: Austen-tatious Turquoise
  • OPI: Green-wich Village
  • OPI: A Woman's Prague-ative
  • OPI: Tomorrow Never Dies
  • Essie: Go Overboard
  • Born Pretty Store: Circle Glequins
  • Bundle Monster Stamp Plate: BM-212
  • Martha Stewart Hex Glitters: Olivine & Lapis Lazuli

Glitter Gradient Nails!

Hey there!

Nothing super exciting today. Wanted to use a fairly new polish I bought and still hadn't used, not as a main color at least. So I did a simple glitter gradient with "The Living Daylights" because I mean, that really is an awesome glitter and I don't use it enough.

I used:
  • Essie: Go Overboard
  • OPI: The Living Daylights
  • Seche Vite: Fast Dry Top Coat

Purple & Gold Chevron Nails

Hey guys,

I have a mani today that I did using a purple I bought fairly recently but hadn't used yet. It's OPI "Pamplona Purple." I LOVE IT! My camera was having a hard time photographing the actual color though, so it's not 100% accurate. In fact I took one photo outside of my lightbox. Anyhoo, I added some gold chevrons and glitter! You likey??

I used:
  • OPI: Pamplona Purple
  • OPI: Goldeneye
  • Essie: Good As Gold
  • Milani: Fuchsia

Rica Glossy Glam Top Coat!

Hey guys,

I have some...simple nails today. Hahaha. I got some nail mail from my aunt, who has a friend with an Etsy nail polish shop called Rica! Have you heard of it before? Well my aunt sent me her Glossy Glam top coat to try out. It is super glossy and awesome! It doesn't dry as quickly as Seche Vite, but it doesn't shrink which is fantastic!

To show it off I decided to just use it on some nude nails.

You should definitely pick up a bottle if you're looking for a great top coat!

I used:
  • HIPP X RGB: F2
  • HIPP X RGB: T1
  • Rica: Glossy Glam Top Coat

Pinterest Inspired Nails!

I have some Pinterest inpired nails today. I've been kind of uninspired lately, so I went to feed my Pinterest addiction. I found a pin of what looks like a bright dyed piece of fabric. Not really sure what it is exactly, I just loved the way it looked and the color combination. It looks like this:

For my mani I used a makeup sponge to dab on all the colors with lots of overlapping. I really loved the way these came out!

I used:
  • OPI: Don't Burst My Bubble
  • OPI: My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours
  • OPI: Fly
  • OPI: Can't Find My Czechbook
  • OPI:  Suzi's Hungary Again!
  • OPI: Pamploma Purple
  • OPI:  Purple With A Purpose
  • Essie: Mint Candy Apple

Color Secrets Review Part 2

Hey!! Another post two days later! How's that??

Well, I'm impressed with myself.

Anyways, this is part 2 of my Color Secrets polish review, The Glitter Edition! The glitter they sent me is really pretty, small fuschia & blue glitters in a clear base. I decided to layer it with the light purple shade "Scent Of A Woman." I've never done a "jelly sandwich" mani before, but I think this came out quite pretty!

I used:
  • Color Secrets: Scent Of A Woman
  • Color Secrets: What Happens In Vegas
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat

Make sure you check out their polish here:

Color Secrets Review Part 1

Yikes! I can't believe I let it get over a week between postings! I have no excuse either! Bah! Sorry!

Well I have another review for you today! Color Secrets asked me to try some of their polish. They sent me 4 polishes and requested a watercolor look. Love those, so that was perfect. One of the colors was a glitter though, so I'm going to do a separate post on that one.

The colors they sent me are:
  • What Happens In Vegas: A fuschia & blue glitter
  • Scent Of A Woman: A light, sheer purple
  • My Fair Lady: A deep purple with teeny tiny specs of fuschia & blue, which match "What Happens In Vegas"
  • Cinderella: A light sheer, shimmery powder blue

These colors made for an interesting watercolor, "Cinderella" & "Scent Of A Woman" were a little too similar but made a nice subtle effect since they are quite sheer.

I used:
  • Color Secrets: Scent Of A Woman
  • Color Secrets: My Fair Lady
  • Color Secrets: Cinderella
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat
