Neon Stripe Nails!

Hey guys!

I don't know about you, but (I'm feeling twenty-twoooo) I'm ready for summer. I hate being cold and I'm sick of it. So I did a neon mani, pretending it's warm. (I also may or may not be going somewhere tropical soooooon and got exciteddd!)

For this I just did a few neon colors and some neon stripes over nude for a fun accent nail. I took a few of my usual shots, but I also took a few outside (I actually ran out in shorts is freezing weather) to try and really get the neon to show. I think it soooort of helped.

(Sorry for the parentheses heavy post)

I used:
  • OPI: Alpine Snow
  • OPI: My Vampire Is Buff
  • Illamasqua: Rare
  • China Glaze: Highlight Of My Summer
  • China Glaze: Purple Panic
  • China Glaze: Flip Flop Fantasy
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat

KKCenterHk Foil Review!

Hey there! I have a review for you today that I'm super excited about!

Silver Nail Foil from KKCenterHk! It looks so sweeeeet! The photo's I'm going to show you are from my second attempt. It comes with this little bottle of nail glue, I used that the first time around. It worked out fine, but I felt like my nails were super sticky and I didn't put any polish underneath so you could just see my bare nail. I was also in a hurry when I did them. I've read that you can't use top coat on foils, so I tried it and sure enough it does crackle. If anyone knows of one that works let me know! I would love to have these last a week!

The second time around I just used silver nail polish underneath instead of the glue. I waited until the polish was mostly dry and rubbed the foil over it. I think it worked out pretty well, and the silver polish made any holes a little less noticeable. I definitely need some practice with these though, I would love to get them super smooth!

Leopard Print Nails

Heyy there. I let a week pass again...whoops. Luckily I was able to get a few manis done this weekend so I should be able to post a little more frequently soon!

I decided to do a simple leopard print mani, because I don't think I've ever done one before on its own without any other animal prints. I didn't do my entire hand, I decided to do the full middle finger and let it fade into the others. And of course I bumped my index finger, so don't mind that little ding.

I used:
  • Essie: Sand Tropez
  • OPI: My Favorite Ornament
  • The New Black: Black
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat

Triangle Nails!

I have some bright nails for you guys because I'm sooo over winter and I'm just so drawn to bright patterns! I decided to try to do a triangle pattern...freehanded. It's definitely not perfect, but I think it's fun. I just wish I didn't put gray right next to the purple. I didn't anticipate them being so close in color.

  • OPI: My Vampire Is Buff
  • OPI: Pink Friday
  • OPI: Fly
  • OPI: Need Sunglasses?
  • OPI: Did It On 'Em
  • OPI: Do You Lilac It?
  • OPI: French Quarter For Your Thoughts

  • Essie: Where's My Chauffeur?
  • China Glaze: Flip Flop Fantasy
  • China Glaze: Highlight Of My Summer

Pinterest Inspired Skittlette

Hey everyone! Keeping warm?!? It's freezing in Massachusetts, thankfully we have a wood stove and my house is nice and toasty.

This is the first mani I've done this year! Woohoo! Also the only one...my basement is super cold in the winter and it's hard to motivate myself to go down there and do my nails...and blog. That's where the computer is! Waaaahhh! Not to mention that nail on my right hand that I bruised in August finally started to come off. :(  It's super nubby and it happened with this polish on it. I'm afraid to take it off and see what it really looks like. I probably wont be able to paint it for a while either. Mehhh.

Enough whining. This mani was inspired by this mani I found on Pinterest. It doesn't link to the original, or maybe it does but it's in another language so I'm not sure. Doesn't seem like a blog or anything though...

I did mine in darker wintery blues.

I used:
  • OPI: Goldeneye
  • OPI: I Saw...U Saw...We Saw...Warsaw
  • Essie: Borrowed & Blue
  • Essie: Good As Gold
  • Essie: Go Overboard
  • Born Pretty: Gold Studs
  • Born Pretty: Gold Glequins
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat
