Just Lanai-ing Around

Some simple nails today! I was trying to decide on a design, and I saw OPI's "Just Lanai-ing Around" sitting there (just laying around) and I decided I wanted to use it. I was thinking I had never really used it before, but then I remembered this post. So clearly, I like this color, and keep forgetting then remembering it. Once again, I couldn't just wear it plain, so I added some glittery stuff and gold studs!

I used:
  • OPI: Just Lanai-ing Around
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat

Boston Marathon 2016 Nails!

Tomorrow is Marathon Monday!! My brother is running in the Boston Marathon tomorrow for the first time! I've lived in MA my whole life but for some reason have never been to the marathon. I'm so excited!! Woo! OF COURSE I had to do my nails for the occasion!

I did the Boston Athletic Association logo on my ring finger (took me three tries), the Boston Strong ribbon on my middle finger and a medal on my index finger.

I used:
  • OPI: I Just Can't Cope-acabana
  • OPI: Gone Gonzo!
  • OPI: Goldeneye
  • Essie: Butler Please
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat

Pink Dry Brush Nails

Hi! I'm still riding the dry brush wave. It's so easy and I love the look. My first stab at them is here and then I did it again here…and honestly, these are kind of dry brush too, just with a thinner brush.

Anyways, these were inspired by an abstract painting I saw on Pinterest (again) and really liked.

I used:
  • OPI: Alpine Snow
  • OPI: Suzi Shops & Island Hops
  • OPI: Dim Dum Plum
  • OPI: Casino Royale
  • OPI: Honey Ryder
  • Essie: Good As Gold
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat

Abstract Drip Nails

Happy Monday!! I have some drippy nails to share today. These have somehow been on the back burner since the end of February. Oops, I think they're more fitting for Spring anyways though…Even though it's snowing here right now. It's April 4th, come onnnnn New England. Get your act together, I'm sick of this.

These were inspired by this painting I found on Pinterest. I did a light gray base color, and globed on various shades of purple and gold. Then I dabbed a brush dipped in acetone over the colors and held my hand vertical to let the color drip down.

I used:
  • OPI: Don't Bossa Nova Me Around
  • OPI: You're Such A Budapest
  • OPI: Pamplona Purple
  • Essie: Good As Gold
  • China Glaze: Purple Panic
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat
